Centreless Tooling was started in Birmingham by Derek Baker in September 1977. |

CT becomes Centreless Tooling Company Limited, a step to reinforce the businesses position and intentions for the future. |

The Company moves from a row of small garages into it's first factory, acquiring more equipment and staff shortly afterwards. |

1983 | |
The first automation system is completed; a general purpose throughfeed bar loader designed for Wickman Scrivener machines. |

1987 | |
CT completes its first mechanical rebuild of a centreless grinding machine. |
|
| |
1991 | |
CT acquires Mercian Machine Tools of Tamworth to form The Centreless Tooling Group. |

1993 | |
To facilitate growth further, the Machine Tool Division moves into new 50,000 sqft premises in Tamworth. |

1994 | |
Completion of the first rebuild with CNC control leads the Company in bold new directions; re-engineering has arrived. |

Further developments in machine specification see the Company's reputation grow, and the first exported CNC centreless in 1996. |

To assist in sharing knowledge between the two divisions, the Tooling and Systems Division moves to the existing premises in Tamworth. |

Derek Baker passes away aged 51, leaving his wife Sandra as Managing Director of The Centreless Tooling Group. |

2008 | |
The Companies first participation in an international exhibition takes place at IMEX, India in 2008. |

2010 | |
During the global recession the Company emerges from administration as CT Machine Tools Limited. |

2011 | |
CTMT develops its first Siemens controlled plunge and throughfeed grinding machines with great success. |
|
| |
2012 | |
The Company embarks on its greatest challenge to date; the design and manufacture of a brand new range of centreless grinding machines. |
