The Centreless Tooling Company Limited (or CT as we are often called) was set up in Birmingham in the autumn of 1977. Starting life on a small scale, we initially manufactured a full range of tooling for centreless grinders. Through the 1980's the Company expanded through continuous investment in people, technology and manufacturing resources, developing cutting edge processes and gaining a wealth of knowledge as we grew.

Users began to seek companies capable of reconditioning their older machines, but because the rebuilders did not have the necessary experience to complete this work satisfactorily, the performance of these machines suffered.

CT recognised the need to provide a professional re-engineering service, and the decision was made to utilise our tremendous amount of knowledge and experience with these machines and make the considerable investment required.

A new division was formed in Tamworth which would offer these specialist services to the centreless grinding industry in the UK and around the world. With it came a highly skilled team of engineers, sharing lifetimes of experience building centreless grinding machines with many of the top manufacturers including Cincinnati and Wickman Scrivener. This would be the foundation for the re-engineering process that we have built upon ever since.

Every machine we re-engineer has been improved, many sub-assemblies redesigned and upgrades developed and incorporated, which has kept our machines at the forefront of the industry. We are never prepared to compromise, encorporating only the best methods, materials and technology into proven machinery; matching the quality and beating the price of a simillar new machine.

A close-knit, family run business, we have been serving the grinding industry for over thirty years, and our passion for what we do is as strong now as it has always been.
